Fès

The oldest imperial city Fez was founded in 789. Located in the region of Fez Boulmane at 415m altitude, on the fertile land of the Fez valley, between the rich forests of the Mean Atlas. Fez is the heart and the cultural, intellectual and spiritual  capital of Morocco. Fez is well known for its merchant artists, and  talented craftsmen who are still numerous perpetuating their skill and craft. Many neighborhoods, with specialized crafts allow the craft industry to be the active engine of the city. We find in Fez jewelries , cooper ware, silk makers , pottery, leather makers, book binding etc.  Andalous music, Berber songs and dances are also appreciated.

By exploring Fez, visitors may live an experience  that would them beyond the preconceived and stereotyped  notions in a living memory of a civilization near to the medieval  European one. With a scrutiny of the eras and cultures  they may feel as if they go back in the time. By staying in Fez, one should taste the Fassi gastronomy, indeed among  the most refined ones in Morocco.

Regular direct flights are organized by the national Air Company Royal Air Maroc towards the national airport of Fez-Saïs in addition to the daily frequencies of the main cities of the Kingdom, the most important airport in Morocco the international airport of Casablanca. Charter flights are also programmed towards Fez with departures from the main European cities.
