Agadir

Agadir is one of the most beautiful bays of the world, with its immense beach of soft sand, its  shallow and calm Atlantic water, its 300 days of sunshine per year with its background country side full of history and culture. Agadir used to be a fishermen village  and it still plays an important role today in the kingdom’s economy. It is still the first fishing port of Morocco.

Presently, works are underway for constructing a pleasant port. The city was destroyed in 1960 by a violent earthquake and was totally reconstructed. This is why it looks very modern well known for its nautical activities as well as its excursion premises, lively bars, restaurants and discotheques.

Life in Agadir is noticeably more expensive than in the other cities of the country:  cafes restaurants, discotheques, hotels or craft objects. Still there are small restaurants or coffee-shops with  reasonable menus and good affordable food.

Direct regular low-cost flights linking Agadir to the big European cities are available. In this city you should not have to take a vehicle except when you leave the city to visit the suburban areas. The seashore and the downtown area  may be visited on foot.

The Buses of the city are good and numerous taxis are at your disposition. Agadir is a multifaceted  city to be discovered!
